Tractor
The tractor shown is on turf tyres, which reduce compaction of the soil and will leave no unsightly ruts in your
paddocks.
The total width is just 5ft so will negotiate even the most difficult field entrance.
|
|
Finger Harrows
Unfolded, these harrows are 3 metres wide so they will soon cover the larger paddocks. They follow the contours of
the ground and can be set to different pressures, depending on how aggressive they need to be.
We use these to harrow out any dead grass and thatch in the Spring, as well as any unwanted moss. This helps
promote the new growth to breathe and grow, resulting in healthy, attractive looking grass.
|
|
Seed Spinner
Using an applicator in front of the harrows we can re-seed the original paddock or any new area that needs seeding.
|
|
Aerator / Slitter
By slitting the paddock the soil and grass roots are aerated which helps the grass grow and also aids drainage of the field,
preventing surface water from forming.
The drying effect of this will also help to reduce the growth of moss, which otherwise will thrive in the damp areas of
lawns and paddocks.

6 ft Topper
This can turn out of control grass that has got too high into better looking and quality grass that can be more easily controlled
in the future, with good management.
It not only helps the growth of the grass but also benefits weed control.
|
|
5ft Cutter and Collector
Using this machine to cut and collect the grass means that your horses can return to the field to graze quickly, without
the fear of them eating the cut grass.
We also use this after harrowing to pick up any dead grass and thatch that has been pulled out, which helps the new
grass breathe and therefore it will grow more healthily and freely.

Sprayers (6 metre and 12 metre available)
A qualified operator carries out the spraying operation and only approved chemicals are used. The operator is
fully insured, proof of which can be supplied if requested.
We can also supply and spray liquid fertiliser, which we recommend as it can be applied more accurately than solid
granules as it only goes where you want it to be places.

|
Chemicals Used
Our vast experience in this area means that we can solve any weed problems that your grass or paddock might have with the
variety of chemicals that we use. Depending on the problem we may use just one or a combination or two or three chemicals
combined together.
Only up to date chemicals are used from a reputable firm and they all come with recommendations.

Fertiliser and Feeds
The advantages of using liquid fertilisers and feeds are:
- More accurate application than granules
- Nutrients are taken up by the grass quicker and easier
- The fertiliser can be appled in the rain without the worry of scorching the grass
All liquid fertilisers and feeds used by Cutting N Things are appled by a 12m - 6m sprayer. Our supplier is the highly
reputable firm, Omex - more details can be found on their website.
